I'm honestly not sure how big of a difference you will get if you are not willing to switch from a product that is not working the way you would like it to. Anything with a matte finish is going to not be ideal for normal to dry skin and can even make some combination skin look dried out. Obviously, make sure that your skin is well moisturized and then allow it to dry before applying foundation. Also apply the foundation in very light layers and continue to add until you get the coverage you want instead of applying one thick layer. Also a foundation primer will do wonders. I'm not sure if less expensive brands make a primer, but I know Mary Kay does as well as some department store brands.
