Why does my cat show my dogs love all the time but me only..?

why does my cat show my dogs love all the time but me only sometines? i've had him for a month now. i fully get he has trust issues as i adopted him from a shelter & he used to be abused. but in this month his only showed me love twice, once about 2 weeks ago & right now, his being very cute right now[= hugging my arm while try to sleep lol. i just dont get the gab thing, when he was showing me love 2 weeks ago i was happy thinking he loves me now..but then he just stopped & wouldnt rub his nose on my face like he did that one time up till now xD
