Many Easter Lily 'experts' can't tell a stamen from an anther. Please don't respond if you lack that knowledge?
In trying to determine which part of the Easter Lily creates the fragrance/smell, I find vast confusion among the internet 'experts'. If memory serves, the Stamen is singular; Anthers are plural, and contain the powdery pollen. Local church ladies cut out the stamens and left the anthers; IMO the fragrance remains. Not a bad thing, unless you have Lots of lilies, and asthmatic souls in the congregation...anyway: which part actually creates the fragrance?!! What is the real 'anther' to the question? (sorry; could not resist...)
