How can I give a sculpey project a powdery look?

I'm making a sculpey necklace (or trying to) and i want it to look like a gummy candy, with one of those white powder coatings. I've seen others accomplish this, but unfortunately I can't find a suggestion or tutorial anywhere. Suggestions would be HIGHLY appreciated!
