Question about grinded weed?

My friend got this weed but idk if it's the real or fake ****. She said she already grinded it but it's like really soft and powdery and it smells like peaches. She claims it's not the incent stuff but I sorta think it is. So the question I'm getting at is is weed powdery or soft when you grind it
