Why does my ex hug me like this?

My ex-boyfriend always hugs me hello and goodbye. When he goes to hug me, he hugs me vry tightly for a long time (approximately 20 seconds or so), rubs my back, and sways me back and forth. Is this an indication of his feelings for me still or could he just be very cuddly?
